My husband and I are both diabetic and have several health problems related to diabetes. We see several specialists and had been using a family doctor who is affiliated with the hospital where our specialists are, thinking that would help coordinate our care and keep everyone in the loop. But what we experienced over and over is that, that doctor and his staff see so many patients that they were too busy to fool with us. We'd get about 5 minutes with the doctor, and most of that was spent with him typing at his computer, noticeably half listening to our concerns. Any phone calls went to voicemail and were often left unanswered. Test results would be posted to a portal but with no interpretation or directions. That practice simply couldn't give us the consideration we need given our web of health issues and often failed to follow through with what they said they'd do. We've been left confused, afraid, and feeling like no one cares about us because of our age and conditions. So we turned to Dr. Quarles and MDVIP as a matter of safety. His examinations are thorough, and his care is thoughtful. He seems genuinely concerned and committed to helping us improve the quality of our lives and manage our health. For us, it's really not about paying out of pocket for concierge treatment. All we've ever wanted is reliable care. We wouldn't do it if we didn't feel like he knows what he's doing and if we had any sense that we are just cases to him. Dr. Quarles is an excellent doctor and kind man. He continually exceeds our expectations for a doctor. Going above and beyond may be the heart of what MDVIP is all about, but Dr. Quarles does a good job of making us feel as if it's just the right thing to do because we are worth his time. That is a huge blessing, and we are very grateful for him.
