During the late 1990s, visiting Dr Sarah Stapleton for my Diabetes followup check, she found a small dark spot on my great right toe that she thought I should have checked by a dermatologist. I followed through with the appointment and was diagnosed with Melanoma. I underwent several procedures to remove the Melanoma with follow up visits every six months to a year. To this day, I have not had any recurrence. If it wasn't for her keen observation and medical experience, I may not be alive today. I'm African American and most times when Melanoma is detected it's too late. My doctor is an exceptional person, with a pleasing personality. I appreciate her very much!
