My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

The most important quality a physician can have to better the health and wellness of his/her patients is the ability to listen. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I partner with my patients to learn their unique histories and create a health and wellness plan that suits their individual needs and goals. I address acute illness immediately in my office or at the hospital. We will collaborate to ensure you stay on your own path to wellness and to help you achieve and maintain your health. In order to do this, I focus on early detection and prevention in the key areas of cardiac care, bone health, respiratory care, diabetes, fitness, nutrition and more.

Visits last as long as necessary and are scheduled at your convenience.  For patients who cannot come to my office due to medical reasons, I am often able to make house calls. As a private doctor, I am available when my patients need me, including evenings, weekends and holidays. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, also offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. In my personalized healthcare practice, you are the center of attention.

I have been an attending physician at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center for over 30 years. It is my firm belief that if you are hospitalized, the doctor who cares for you should be the doctor who knows you best. I also care for my patients who are in rehabilitation facilities and nursing homes. I will be your advocate, as well as your physician, to help you and your family navigate our complex healthcare system.

My primary care internal medicine practice serves all of Palm Beach County, Florida, including Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Royal Palm Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth and Boca Raton. I also see patients from Martin and St. Lucie counties.

from Linda in FL February 27, 2018 for Robert A. Wacks, MD

Dr Wacks took me in as a new patient when my own dr couldnt get me in. My best friend called Dr wacks and asked a favor. I had kidney infection and during my exam he asked about my heart murmur. I told him I had it all my life. He sent me to hospital for ultra sound of kidney and an echo cardio gram . A few hours later he called to tell me I had a hole in my heart. I was under the care of… See more

Doctor Wacks is my mother's physician.

Over the years that he has cared for my elderly mother, he has been kind, patient and concerned.

He has always, without fail, been accessible to my mother and to our family, be it in an emergency or simply for an informational question.

Speaking for the family, I can say that we truly appreciate knowing that our mother's… See more

We are not patients for Dr. Wacks, Arlene, Daniel and their staff. We are family. When we need anything , they are there. They answer the phone and direct us. My last dollar, should I get there and still have any cognitive function, would pay my MDVIP dues..

from pat March 29, 2017 for Robert A. Wacks, MD

after completing the application, but not yet in the system, i found myself in real pain. before heading for an ER, i called Dr Wacks and he sprang into action. he did what was needed, and called to check later on, though i wasn't yet really his patient.

needless to say, i got myself in the system PDQ after that.

I owe my life today to Dr Wacks. Our nearly three year odyssey has been wonderful. As sick as I was when we first met, this special doctor has always been there with me. Thanks to him and his staff I have built an incredible team of similarly committed profesionals. Without their efforts I would not be here today. My experience has brought Dr Wacks several new patients, who are equally… See more

I absoluutely LOVE Dr. Wacks!! He has gotten both my husband and myself on a new path to wellness! We have both lost over 15 pounds and reduced our blood pressure drastically. The staff is great-the office really has a family oriented feel. Both Dr. Wacks and his staff have gone above and beyond for my family. I truly appreciate this new dynamic of healthcare.

Robert Wacks is my Doctor over 20 years. He is an wonderful human being and has given me, not only undivided care phisically also psychologically. He is a very positive person, which makes it very important in anyone's personality, and
moreso in a medical care givers character.
