Dr Welch has been in my life for many years, starting 26 years ago when diagnosed with gestational diabetes. When he joined MDVIP, I could not imagine not joining up because of him. He is thoughtful, kind, gentle, patient, and has helped me become healthier each year. I admire and respect him greatly. Thank you Dr Welch, for everything you do and for putting up with me! You are the BEST.

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
I completed my fellowship in endocrinology at Emory and have practiced medicine for 18 years at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, assisting Piedmont in the development of their Diabetes Resource Center that helps all people with diabetes to lead healthy lives.
As an endocrinologist, I take a multi-disciplinary approach to caring for diabetes, which focuses on decreasing patients' blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as concentrates on motivating patients to adopt healthier lifestyle habits in order to be as healthy and active as possible.
As an internist and personal physician, my knowledge, experience, insight and technical ability all come together when evaluating and treating every patient. My goal is to get to know my patients well beyond their symptoms and help them identify and achieve their goals. In my personalized healthcare practice, my patients and I work together throughout the year to keep them on the path to healthier living. I sincerely care about the well-being of all my patients - I have time to listen, educate and be their advocate. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
In addition to specializing in internal medicine and diabetes, I care for patients with thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease (osteoporosis), hormone deficiencies and/or excesses resulting from pituitary or adrenal disorders, and I treat problems associated with testosterone deficiency in men.

Dr. Welch was recommended by another physician. He has changed my son's life. He's back to normal after two years of terrible health. I cannot thank Dr. Welch enough.
I started with Dr. Welsh as my diabetes doctor and was pleased with his service. Because of his good service I joined MDVIP as soon as I had the opportunity. In January 2014 I had my first appointment which was my annual physical. Dr. Welsh had the usual lab tests run and then examined me from head to toes. I was very excited with the complete physical. He explained everything that was… See more
