My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

It is my belief that each patient is a unique human being. The science of medicine aims to diagnose and treat disease. However, the art of medicine encompasses knowing the person who has the disease and never losing sight that we are treating an individual, not a disease.

My approach is to personalize medical care to fit the patient’s specific circumstances, and to pay acute attention to the whole person. I recognize that achieving wellness is a collaborative effort, and that the patient’s input and goals are essential to successful outcomes.

The journey of healthier living can be reached by combining medical expertise with personal knowledge. My hope is that we will take this journey together.

from JoAnn in TX February 28, 2018 for Chiao Yung Lie, MD

Dr Lie is a 5! I don't think I'd be alive if it weren't for her due diligence. She listened to and took action on an obscure annoyance that ended up being thyroid cancer. My surgeon was very impressed with the catch. Dr Lie is the best!

from Paula March 29, 2017 for Chiao Yung Lie, MD

Dr Lie possibly saved my life or at the very least spared me untold misery. She has been my doctor for many years and I followed her into the MDVIP program without any hesitation, also bringing my husband on board. If not for the extra attention and test available through the program my anemia and subsequent cancer diagnosis may have gone undetected for up to a year. I am lucky that at her… See more
