2 Years finding a Doctor and found Someone More
First, medical professionals whom I've met referred to Dr. Steven Winkler as "a Doctor who truly loves his patients". They say this with great reverence and awe and reinforce, "he really cares", that anyone he refers his patients to, must be of the highest caliber. One Nutritionist, in particular, was envious because she wanted to be on his referral list, and he genuinely declined her resume. She still spoke highly of Dr. Winkler! I concur and say even more.
It did take me 2 years of moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, from San Diego, California, to find a doctor I felt comfortable with. I come from a family of Doctors, my Grandfather a GP or "Country Doc" and an Uncle who was a OBGYN and Member of John Hopkins. I had interviewed 10 doctors before I met Dr. Winkler, an Angel intervened. An associate had heard of this doctor from a friend and the huge following he had, he probably wasn't excepting any new patients. I called and got an appointment. I knew when I walked into his offices, this was it and I would beg for him to accept me as a patient! Fortunately, we had an excellent meeting and I was in! Shortly after, in order to provide truly excellent care to his huge patient base, he joined MDVIP. He hosted a meeting for the patients and expressed his gratitude and how blessed he was to have cared for so many families. This move was necessary. It allowed him to manage his practice at the very personal and dedicated level he pursued. I gladly signed on and never been happier!
Dr. Winkler listens with his mind and his heart. He has sat and taken a great deal of time to learn about my health, my family, my world. We have shared medical advances, homeopathic options and work out routines. To the degree, that he organizes Saturday "Fun Walks" with his patients! His staff is a mirror of the affable ethic that he exudes! They smile as you walk in, "Good Day" by name as you check-in. Treats and coffee or water, in a warm, welcoming waiting area. It is a feeling of family and well being. His patients love him, too!
