My husband, Jack, died the end of October. Yesterday I was going through some letters and cards that he had kept squirreled away. They said so much about who he was and what he valued most. In them I found a letter his father had written to Jack and his brother when he was 85. He wrote to tell them of his latest visit to the doctor who told him that he still had high cholesterol and high blood pressure plus some other issues, but that since he was 85 there was no need to change medications or do anything more. I was stunned to say the least. His father lived to 97. Jack was 82 when he died and had multiple health issues that could easily have been considered not worth the effort because of his age and declining health, but Dr. Toupin NEVER stopped trying to make it better. Thank you!
