A few years ago, my physician retired suddenly due to a health problem. I really liked him - he was excellent. I hated to lose him. Over the next two years, I was assigned to three other doctors in the same practice. I didn't feel comfortable with any of them. I asked a friend of mine, one of the leading neurologists in central Virginia, who he would recommend. He said, give me a few days to think about it. After 3-4 days, he came back to me and said that he had spoken with several of his colleagues and that they collectively recommended Dr. Laura Aisenberg.

I called Dr. Aisenberg’s office and was told that she was moving from her practice to MDVIP and that I could sign up as one of her patients with this concierge practice.

My first annual exam was a couple of months later. I was not disappointed! Dr. Aisenberg has a great personality, she is very knowledgeable, asks pointed questions, and checks with my other physicians. I feel lucky to be one of her patients!

I told her that her job was to keep me alive until I am 107 years old. She asked, “why that particular number?” I told her that the oldest person in my family had died at 106 and I wanted to set a new family record. Dr. Aisenberg looked me in the eye and said, “OK, but you have to do what I say!” A great doctor who, in addition to everything else, has a sense of humor! I hope that she doesn’t plan to retire until I am at least 107!
