In May 2018 I returned to Dr. Poliak for my annual physical. He immediately found a lump in my neck and sent me off for an MRI and biopsy. Yup, cancer. And a few weeks later he coordinated my surgery with MDAnderson Cancer Center’s extraordinary Head and Neck Team. Thanks to early discovery, quick diagnosis and outstanding treatment, I’m a cancer survivor and most thankful patient of Dr. Poliak.
