I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I started treatments at MD Anderson. They were going to do radiation treatments but wanted me to be on hormone pills for a month in order to lower testoserone and make radiation more effective. After about one week of taking the hormone pills I started having issues....feeling light headed, blurry vision. I took my blood pressure on a Friday afternoon and it was 220/120! I called Dr Solis. He looked up side effects of the pills...high blood pressure and blurry vision. He told me to get back to dr at MD Anderson. I called. Dr had left for Korea. Assistant had left for the day. Nobody to talk to other than the assistant. I told her the issue and could she get back to Dr. She did and doctor message was keep taking pills and work with regular doctor to get BP down!! Wrong. I called Dr Solis back. He said stop taking pills/ you are going to have a stroke.
There have been other instances of after hours advice from Dr Solis.
I really appreciate the care, advice, and attention.
