I always like a little history by looking back through some of the years of Connie's and my medical records. We transferred our records from another physician in 1995 to Dr. R.W. Blakely with Houston Medical Associates.

Dr. Blakely made a career change July 1, 1997 to become Chief Medical Officer of One Care Health Industries. One of the doctors Dr. Blakely selected to remain at Medical Associates was John A. Burpeau, board certified doctor of internal medicine. My wife and I were really pleased with Dr. Blakely's choice.

Dr. Burpeau left One Care Health Industries December 31, 1998, and went into practice for himself, joining two other doctors, Dr. Lent and Dr. Wilson in an already established practice. Over the years, my wife and I became better acquainted with Dr. Burpeau as he cared for our medical needs, referring us to specialists, if necessary.

August 2007, Dr. Burpeau affiliated with MDVIP, a national network of physician who focused on personalized and preventive care. My wife (deceased in 2011) and I had two options:

1. MDVIP was more expensive, but had more advantages, including an excellent doctor, Dr. Burpeau.
2. Find another doctor - long wait for appointment times, and heavy load with patients, take Medicare for us.

MDVIP was our choice. As we grow older, health check-ups and availability of doctors is important. I close this letter knowing that Dr. Burpeau will care for my medical needs. He is an excellent doctor who advises me of something is wrong and takes a personal interest in my health.
