Knows his Patients!

I have been a patient of Dr. Drell's for many years and always found him to be responsive, professional and caring. However, a few years ago, having him as my Doctor probably saved my life. I called him on a Friday because of what I thought was a painful muscle pull in my back from Pilates. When he called, he asked a number of questions and when I said I was slightly short of breath, Dr. Drell said to come in right away and bring someone with me. I was taken back since he did not have office hours that afternoon and I considered it a minor issue. After arriving, he quickly surmised it was a blood clot in my lungs and was on the telephone to the hospital with instructions. Turned out he was right! As the nurse at the hospital said: If you didn't have Dr. Drell as your physician, we would probably have missed it. Dr. Drell credited his initial suspicion to having the time to really know his patients. We are grateful to have him as our Doctor.
