Dr Phillips has been my physician since the late 1980’s, and we have been through a lot together. I am thrilled to see Dr. Phillips recognized with awards and honors. I was at a Christmas party and it turned out that there were three other gentlemen there who like me were long time patients of Dr. Phillips. We ended up swapping stories about how that relationship helped us through health issues and the bumps in the road of life. Last month I was at my dentist and as his assistant was reviewing my medications and doctor she broke into total joy telling me about Dr. Phillips and the long time relationship he has had with her mother. She had several stories about times Dr. Phillips went above and beyond for her mom, now well over 90 years old.

There was the time when we lost our granddaughter a week before a scheduled C-section. The sorrow was unbearable to our whole family. My wife and I were physically ill, and emotionally distraught. Dr. Phillips helped us through the illness part, which included a hospital stay for my wife, and had recommendations for grief counseling resources. That was a really dark time when his heart for people was as important as his medical skill. He was a rock for us in getting through all the Covid stuff without panic.

I couldn’t close this entry without a special word for his long time office nurse, Teresa. She has been through all this with us at every step. She has been a source of joy and encouragement for many years. Teresa is just one more sweet reason why we feel very blessed to have Dr. Phillips as our partner in keeping us healthy.
