I am a widow who had a fabulous physician in my home town. After my husband's passing I moved from Frankfort, KY to Lexington, KY. I did not change physicians. Unfortunately, I began to have many issues that prevented me from traveling back and forth to Frankfort. After several hospital inpatient visits I knew I needed a local doctor. Ha! I understand the docs are busy. Had it not been for my Frankfort physician's advice, I might not be alive today. It was close to Christmas, December 23. I had recently had back surgery and was not feeling well, leg hurt and swollen. I went directly to my surgeon's office but he was on vacation. I explained my symptoms to the surgeon on call. I was told they could see me on January 7th!!!!! I went to the ER, was admitted and had a “saddle pulmonary embolus.” Had I waited until January I would be dead.

I related my experience to my former hometown doctor. He recommended MDVIP! What a blessing. I now have 24/7 care, calls returned, same day or next day appointments. A physician who talks and listens to me. No face in a computer. After a year my new MDVIP doctor retired. I was devastated! MDVIP physician needed immediately. One floor up was Dr. Debbie Fibel! Having already experienced multiple physicians and experiencing the care of MDVIP I immediately called her office.

Dr. Fibel, a MDVIP physician, met with me on the same day as I called. She sat down with me, listened to me, comforted me, and I knew I had found my new doctor and, hopefully my forever doctor. Dr. Fibel is a fantastic physician, explains to me why she recommends whatever instructions she gives to me.. A staff that cares about you. Dr. Fibel never rushes you, answers your questions. She is available 24/7. Example, on a Sunday, intending to leave a message for the next day I called the office. Dr. Fibel answered the call!!!! I apologized for disturbing her on a Sunday. She said, "no, no, this is not a problem, what is going on?"

Dr. Fibel, went above and beyond helping me with a personal situation. My brother, who was ill and just moved to Lexington, needed a physician “now” not three weeks later. He was seen right away. He also joined MDVIP and has received marvelous care.

I want to end by saying, I have been a caregiver to family most of my adult life. Dealing with many physicians. Passed from one specialist to another, to another. Frustrating and adding to the burden of care giving.

I am 82 years old, have been able to travel, and enjoy life. I travel with confidence knowing MDVIP is within my reach MDVIP (available where you travel but check with your physician to be sure, as I have not needed services while traveling.)
