All of a sudden I was having a hard time eating. I was hungry and would order food and after a bite or two I could not eat anymore. It just didn't feel right and it was bothersome to try and swallow or force it on myself. We had friends who were using Dr. Welch and MDVIP and hooked us up with him. Dr. Welch accommodated me and got me in to see him within one day. After evaluating me he decided I needed and Cat scan and he made some calls and even though there were no openings he was able to get them to squeeze me in that day. I had the scan and it was determined that my problem was inflammation in my esophagus and stomach connection. I was given some meds and in a very short period of time I was back to normal. If I had gone through my normal medical channels it would have been weeks before I would have known what was wrong and had it fixed. That was 3 1/2 years ago. Since then I've had some other issues that Dr. Welch has helped me getting to the right Dr.'s in a very quick time period.

Dec 2023. My mother In-law, who is 85, was feeling really bad and her daughters, who both live 750+ miles away, convinced her to go to the emergency room, which she did. She had came down with COVID and was having issues swallowing as it hurt too much to do so. She lives in Fort Wayne, ID and was sent home with nothing but some mouth wash. They said she only had COVID ands she didn't need to be there. So they sent an 85 year old home with no support and she lives by herself. The daughters flew up that day and the next night had to take her to the emergency room again where they admitted her due to dehydration. They brought her to Atlanta two days later. They enrolled her into MDVIP with Dr. Welsh and like in the story about myself Dr. Welsh had her receive a cat scan that day and determined she had an obstruction of some sort in her esophagus, most like a narrowing. They then set up an endoscopy and originally the earliest appointment to see the specialist to handle this was in March. After taking her mother to the emergency clinics a few times Dr. Welch got her in to see the specialist and they did the endoscopy and - as they said, they dilated 3 areas - in my speak they stretched it - and she was better immediately. She is now home in ID regaining her strength and feels really good.

These are just two examples of how much MDVIP makes things happen and gets you the care you need without the usual months of waiting to see the specialists you require to get healthy again. I was originally skeptical about MDVIP but now I will not give it up.
