For the past 10 years Dr Romero and I have been in a quest to control my cholesterol level. We have tried all the different drugs that the market offer in addition of me doing a keto diet and an exercise regimen. Our success has been good but limited up to today because my high cholesterol is part of my DNA in other words runs in my family.. I started with a total cholesteroll of 375 and we have taken it to 285 more or less. Still it impacts my heart health for long term quality of life.
Recently a drug that has been in Europe for over 20 years was accepted in the us market and Dr Romero put in a request to the insurance for approval. The approval was denied the first time. But Knowing what it means for my wellbeing Dr Romero and her staff prepared a strong case with compiled years of trials and trials of failed drugs that proved the need for approval of this new drug. A couple weeks ago we received the approval thanks to their resilience I have new hope! ☺️
