In late September 2019 I experienced rectal bleeding. I made an appointment with Dr, Thomas. He said he wasn’t positive what was wrong with me and he referred me to a surgeon. I saw the surgeon twice over a 30-45 day time frame. A procedure was scheduled for November 21, 2019. I woke up to a diagnosis of anal cancer. The surgeon assured me I was treatable and curable. He said treatment would start in the next 2 weeks. 2 weeks passed and no phone calls no treatment scheduled. I made an appointment with Dr. Thomas for a conference to discuss my diagnosis and treatment. I walked out of his office scheduled with chemo and radiation oncologists. Dr. Thomas picked up the ball that had been dropped by the surgeon’s office and ran with it. Treatment started 12/21/19 and the next 6 weeks were not fun. I had 2 rounds of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. I’m told the tumor is gone. I’m told to expect the PET scan in May to give me a clean bill of health and I have Dr. Thomas to thank.

Dr. Thomas saved my husband’s life twice in the last 15 years—all cardiac related. Now he’s saved mine.
