I've been with Dr. Adrian Douglass for more year than I can remember. He was recommended to me in my late 20's. I remember it was not long after I lost my father to a heart attack and I thought it was time to take care of myself. I was overweight my whole life but Dr. Douglass never let me feel less than any of person or patient of his. Just before my 40th birthday when I finally decided to make weight loss a priority for me and have bariatric surgery, he was with me 100% of the way. He diligently worked with me to make sure I had all of my clearances for the surgery and followed up during the whole process. As I lost weight I became even more excited for my annual physicals. It was fun to talk about my health and the positive changes. He still periodically calls or texts just to check in on life. No other doctor does that. Through the years we not only talk about health but also life, culture, family and travels. Visiting Dr. Douglass felt more like talking to my dad then just going to see a Doctor.

In the fall I went to the emergency room dealing with new pain that turned out to be sciatica. A few days later, Dr. Douglass called me and said he saw I had gone to the ER and wanting to check on me. I should not have been surprised for his caring outreach and it certainly felt good.

It's the little things in life that are important to me and while health is no little thing; the extra attention, patience and compassion Dr. Douglass exudes makes him an incredible doctor and an amazing person.
