Understanding what it feels like to be told “you have cancer”.

Two weeks ago I was told what nobody wants to hear by my urologist. I wanted action immediately. It seemed that the urologist (who does not take insurance) wanted to play quarterback and send me to his people. I wanted to go to Moffitt, a major cancer center in Florida.
Thank goodness I was a member of MDVIP and my doctor, Judith Moss was there for me. I could pick up the phone and call her anytime, (she gave me her cell number when I started with MVIP). She jumped into action and helped get me an appointment at Moffitt and has been my “go to person” for all my concerns and questions. I feel that she knows me and my medical health very well. She understands how I feel and will call me during and after hours to advise me and check how I’m doing.
This is just the start of my scary journey, but Dr Moss is on my side to help.
