My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I like to know my patients at a deeper level, relating to them as both their physician as well as a trusted friend. This unique relationship allows me to listen, teach, encourage and guide my patients through the complexities of medicine and their personal healthcare needs. I integrate compassion, integrity and at times devilish humor into my practice and my patients can expect to find thorough and superior health care blended with a relaxed and custom-tailored wellness approach to medicine. It's my goal that this personalized relationship and comprehensive approach to my patients' medical care will help them achieve their optimal health.

When my doctor first went to MDVIP, I felt I couldn't afford to go with him. I found I simply didn't go to the doctor that year. When I finally HAD to go, it was very uncomfortable having to talk to a stranger, having to go over my medical history for a simple prescription. Now, back with doctor Smith, I am happy. I can text him, email, or call on the weekends. I had an allergic… See more

Dr. Smith,
I just wanted you to know what a great comfort you are to me and my family. You are always there for all of us and that is such a great relief when we have any medical problem. It makes me feel guilty to call on a Sunday, or later in the evening, but you quickly put my mind at ease and order whatever is necessary.
Thank you again, you are the best.

Dr. Smith has been my physician for a number of years and in this time I feel that he has become more than my doctor but a friend. He always shows an interest in my life and has made every effort to get me into a healthy way of life.

I wish I was as good a patient as he is a doctor.

I had a double bypass on December 5, 2016. I was released December 12, 2016. I was readmitted December 13, 2016 suffering from CDiff and abdominal distress, a week later I had abdominal surgery and spent a total of 16 days in intensive care. Released December 29, 2016 a week or so later I was readmitted for low blood pressure caused by all of the new medicines. Nine more days in intensive… See more

I think the most telling thing I can say is to simply state that Dr. Smith called me multiple times over the Christmas Holiday season. During that particular week when I would expect him to devote all of his time to his family he called me several times to check on the progress of efforts to combat the flu.

Since I was visiting family in San Diego and could not physically go to his… See more

THE AWESOME DR. SMITH!!

I have always had complete confidence in Dr Smiths diagnosis, assessment and recommendations for the ailments I have come to him for. He is very easy and comfortable to talk to. No matter how big or small a symptom might be, he will evaluate and come up with an assessment and recommendation, and where uncertain as to the cause of a symptom, will pursue… See more

Dr. Smith may have saved my life! THANK YOU for urging me to go for the dreaded colonoscopy!! The findings were extreme, but I can't imagine if they hadn't found it...if I hadn't gone. I owe you big time for that! And for all of the kind words about my son, C.J. I appreciate this as well. Thanks for always being available.
