My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My path to becoming an internal medicine doctor is grounded in my own family’s values and my desire to use my strong communication skills and approachability in caring for patients. I believe that our whole is indeed “the sum of our parts,” and I thrive on working with patients to achieve the goal of being physically active and emotionally balanced – creating the ideal conditions to advance their health. Prevention has always been the cornerstone of my practice.

As a female primary care doctor, I fulfill a critical need and provide care in the community where I live (Metrowest). Many of my patients are friends and neighbors. I am locally trained. I earned my medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School and did my medical training at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital Residency Program, including a year as Chief Resident. I have particular interests in women’s health and preventive medicine, as well as management of chronic diseases, including obesity, hypertension and diabetes. I joined Newton-Wellesley Hospital (now part of the Mass General Brigham system) after completing my residency in 2005 and have strong and continuing relationships with specialists at these institutions. My supportive and welcoming approach to caring for patients has earned me Boston Top Doctor recognition annually since 2017.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences, including same or next-day appointments. More time together means we can partner in an in-depth approach to your healthcare and devise a personalized wellness plan that meets your needs and goals.

Katey Deanzeris has served as my primary care doctor for over 25 years. Not only do I consider her to be a superior physician but I can also say that I think of her as my friend. Throughout this period of time in my life, Katy has been there to provide me with the best medical care as well as thoughtful and caring advice, whether it be of a medical or personal nature. I can also say that… See more

from Barbara in MA January 19, 2024 for Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

Dr. DeAnzeris is my new PCP this year. She is my first experience with a concierge doctor, and I could not be more pleased. Her immediate availability, genuine concern, and expert care are beyond all of my expectations.

from Janet in MA January 19, 2024 for Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

I just started seeing Dr. Deanzeris in November of 2022 and since then my health has improved significantly. I don't think there was a single moment but rather her consistent and thorough care that has made a world of difference for me. I had been diagnosed with a rare movement disorder and was on medication that was helping a little, but not that well. I was feeling pretty down about it… See more

from Lisa in MA March 23, 2023 for Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

In 2015, Dr. DeAnzeris was tasked with telling both my daughter and I that we had cancer. My daughter’s cancer was a very rare cancer that could easily have been missed, and I had two different forms of breast cancer, simultaneously. Dr. DeAnzeris found them before they even showed up on a mammogram! She found us the very best oncologists and started us both on paths of recovery. I believe… See more
