My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

I am a primary care physician who trained at Emory School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine in internal medicine and geriatrics. For more than 28 years, I have practiced in many environments and have cared for patients aged 16 to 100 years old. I am experienced in complex medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, thyroid disorder, weight  and nutrition counseling and the unique health concerns of aging.

I have worked to care for my patients with attention, compassion, love and respect, as I would my own family. I am a firm believer in the holistic approach to healthcare that encompasses not only patients’ physical needs, but also their mental health and social concerns.

As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I offer unhurried visits, which allow me the opportunity to partner with my patients to provide more in-depth personalized care plans with an emphasis on comprehensive screenings, disease prevention and healthy aging.

I am also available for medical advice and can be contacted after hours for more urgent needs.  Similar to concierge medicine practices, my MDVIP-affiliated practice offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments with minimal waiting.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Bain

from Laurel in GA April 3, 2024 for McKinley T. Bain, MD

I met Dr. Bain when I started taking my mother to see him. She really liked him and she didn’t like a lot of people when she was in her eighties.☺️ He was no nonsense but listened to her and answered questions without being condescending.
After my mother passed away at 95 I wanted him to be my doctor. He really does listen well to me and talks directly to me, not staring at computer or… See more

I was glad when Dr. Bain started a MDVIP "concierge" service. Now that I am 94, I find myself wanting immediate medical service more often. I can now call Dr.Bain at any time, day or night and get the service I need, instead of going to urgent care. For example, one morning, about a couple of months ago, I woke up coughing and sneezing and feeling just sick. I began taking cough… See more

Dr. Bain has been a doctor in whom I can confide in relating to my personal life contributing to possibly why my body is reacting a certain way. He listens and that for me has been a contributing factor as to why I have been with him for as long as I have. He gives me his professional opinion and recommends a specialist if needed. I have always felt heard and I feel that's one attribute that… See more

I have been with Dr. McKinley Bain since 2019 and it has been such a joy. I can share anything with Dr. Bain and he always has a solution and guidance on how to resolve it. Dr. Bain has been helping me graciously on my weight loss journey. It has been a huge struggle but now I am seeing a trainer and have stuck with it for 4 months. I never stick with anything more than 2 weeks so this was a… See more

I have been seeing Dr. McKinley Bain for several years. I left my last PCP of 15 years when she joined MDVIP because I couldnt imagine paying extra for her services. I say that to say, when Dr. Bain made the transition, I couldnt imagine NOT paying extra for his services! He is a beacon of hope in an otherwise careless world of medical care.

Dr. Bain is relentless in chasing down what… See more

Dr. Lide is the physician everyone should have! He is the best listener and has great empathy for whatever is the source of concern for his patient. As a Parkinsons patient, I have highest praise for Dr. Lide's care and empathy. I am very grateful for the concern he gives me.
