Dr Long was my mother‘s doctor for 40 years and mine for approximately 15 . he has always been compassionate, and a very practical and excellent physician. I had a real rough time taking care of my mother and her final days. he was there for me and her, and I cannot explain how much it meant to us.. he is not just a great physician he is also a great friend. He was there when I had no one and always set. My mind at ease. I feel like he was sent from God to help me in the time when my mother was not doing well I couldn’t have made it without him.. he always made me feel like family when my own family wouldn’t help. Don’t make them like him anymore to my friend and my physician. My goal, as your physician, is to partner with you to create personalized healthcare plans which will more effectively manage your health problems and work to prevent new ones. I realize that each of my patients have differing medical needs and social situations which impact their health. Together we can make informed decisions on how to address your specific medical needs and goals for your future.

With over 30 years of medical practice in the Charlotte community, I have longstanding relationships with many of our fine specialists which will help you get the most comprehensive care for your unique problems. As you may know, I have many years of practice experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and long term care health management. On a personal note, I have a great interest and knowledge in cardiovascular health, diabetes and preventive care.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
