Dr. Ryan Gini is my PCP, but also my enabler & motivator to live to my limits as an 81 year old. I’ve been 3-wheel motorcycling as a passenger & driver, completing “The Tail of the Dragon” in TN. I’ve zip-lined in WV & AZ, skied (sort of) in CO & NV, hiked in many National Parks & on mountain & desert trails. This past year, I’ve held up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, taken many zodiac rides to see puffins & other seabirds, waterfalls & fjords during the midnight sun around Iceland & the Faroe Islands. What a thrilling life for me & my partner.
Dr. Gini has always been welcoming. I love his extravagant handshake greeting. It always relaxes me & makes me laugh. No health issue is too big or small, so far. He’s very good about reminding me that weight is part of good health. He’s been a cheerleader for exercise & responsible eating. While I’m not always a good patient, his coaching & enthusiasm have allowed me to go places & see things that I never expected I’d be doing at my age. I really admire his values & kindness. It makes me willing to work at little harder at staying healthy. It’s always fun to listen to his adventure as he listens to mine.
He’s also helped me nurture a relationship with a boyfriend from 50+ years ago whose wife passed several years ago. That can be intimidating after being single all those years. He doesn’t let me be intimidated by making me laugh at my situation. I love his good cheer. I am so grateful that I was assigned to be his patient many years ago, before MDVIP. I know he loves practicing medicine. I’m sure, as he has & instills a very positive attitude. He’s happy to have the limited practice which ALLOWS him to practice good medicine that finds solutions to the many health issues presented to him. I am happy to have the access & time to fully express any health concerns & move to correct them.
Thank you, Dr Gini!!! Selfishly, I hope you last longer than I do. I can’t imagine finding another physician as good or as fun as you are-even in serious times. You have worked hard to earn my esteem & trust. Thank one more time!!!
