Heart Attack!

A little over a year ago, I woke up on Monday morning and took my coffee out by the pool. After a vigorous weekend of motorcycle racing, I was a bit sore all over. But noticed it most in my pecs. Hmm, I thought , I didn’t think I was that out of shape. Then a sudden and pretty severe dizzy spell hit, but faded after 5 seconds or so. But it was enough to convince me something was amiss. So I drove to Dr Smith’s office. He did an EKG which was normal, but said “I want you to go to the emergency room for more tests.” I did, and it showed I had had a heart attack and they placed 2 stents. But the story doesn’t end there! 6 weeks later I was back at the race track telling some friends about my event. One of my friends said “Y’know, I’ve had some pain like that! Maybe I should have it checked out.” I said “Definitely!” A few weeks later he called me and said “Thanks for saving my life!” It turned out he had two bad valves, a hole in his heart, and an Aortic annurism “the size of your little finger”. His doctor told him he had never seen a person in worse shape walking around. My friend is a business owner, husband and Dad to three little girls. Thanks Dr Smith for saving Two lives!
