I've known Dr. Bello for quite a few years both socially and as a doctor who has treated all members of my family. Even though I was a member of Kaiser for a long time, a program Dr. Bello was not affiliated with, she was always my go to doctor for help. I was not in the MDVIP program but my wife was and on more than one occasion impressed on me the benefits of MDVIP.
So, a few months ago I tore the meniscus in my knee while visiting Las Vegas. My injury occurred, getting out of a cab, on a Wed night. I tried in vane to get an appointment with and orthopedist asap through my HMO and got nowhere. Completely unable to walk and wheel chair bound I contacted her on Thursday afternoon and flew home that night. She arranged for me to see an orthopedic surgeon Friday morning who examined my knee, determined I needed surgery and on Saturday, the very next day, repaired my knee. Needless to say I was sold on the value of MDVIP.
