I have been truly blessed to have the relationship with Doctor Scheperle that I have enjoyed. When I moved to St. Louis from London, England, back in 1992, I was not sure about who I would use for medical care. I was concerned as I had several issues which I brought with me as baggage from a forty-year-old man. I knew I had psoriasis and some sort of stomach problems. My parents in law initially recommended I use their doctor and he introduced me to Dr Scheperle as the person who would be taking over his practice when he retired. The blessing of being with someone for so long is the wonderful relationship beyond regular healthcare which we have developed together. It has truly become a two-way street of care and comfort as my career as a hospital chaplain related to care for the doctors and nurses I worked with, as well as patients, which enabled me to relate even better to Dr Scheperle. Over the thirty years I have known Dr Scheperle, he has been able to support me in many intangible ways and I have been able to be present to him also through difficult times. Ours is a strong relationship and the care for my health is just one part of it that brings comfort and support to me in my timers of need. Knowing I have Crohn's disease and Psoriasis, with their associated issues, has made it possible to target my care in ways I would not have believed possible, and for which I will always be eternally grateful. With the added care and attention provided by his transition to a MDVIP doctor, it has only made it better, and the added care and focus it brings to me is astounding. It is easy to underestimate how much care is required for a good doctor patient relationship, however Dr. Scheperle has not only achieved this but exceeded it on a daily basis, for which I will always be eternally grateful. His attention to my care has encouraged my daughter to follow in his footsteps in her qualifying as a doctor too, and her decision on the type of medicine she wishes to work in.
