On the day I found out I was diabetic, I cried. Dr. Esslinger was very compassionate and encouraging when he delivered the news. I felt no judgment on his part and it didn't feel like a death sentence. We came up with a plan that didn't feel overwhelming. My A1C is 6:5 and I feel hopeful.

Back in 2003 I had lost my husband to cancer. I went into a deep depression. Dr. Esslinger arranged for me to see some mental health professionals. It really turned my life back to normal. He has been an excellent doctor all these years and I can't imagine going to another.
