My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Twenty years ago, I went into primary care to help people of all ages improve their health. While it is always the goal to know your patients well and to understand all the things happening in their life that could be affecting their health, it can be challenging to accomplish in a traditional family medicine practice.

MDVIP understands that what people need is more time with their primary care physician to discuss important health issues and to delve into the day-to-day challenges of trying to live a healthier life. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, my focus is getting to know my patients better and developing more personalized healthcare plans to help meet their specific needs. My mission is to help patients achieve their health goals while living active and fulfilling lives – and to do that along with them by “walking the talk.”

As one of the few family medicine doctors in the greater Lansing area offering this personalized healthcare approach, similar to concierge medicine, I have the ability to dedicate ample time to prevention and wellness. Education on these and other topics is one of my passions, and I have been on the teaching faculty at Michigan State University for over 15 years. In addition, I have a longtime interest in cardiometabolic disorders like high cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes, which are so prevalent in the United States and other developed countries of the world. I am excited to be able to offer advanced cardiovascular screenings among other extensive testing through the MDVIP Wellness Program and to delve more deeply into patients’ risk factors to help them stay ahead of their health. Upon the opening of my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I will be relocating to 1568 Lake Lansing Road, Lansing, MI 48912.
