Dr. Allen Sonstein has been our trusted and much loved physician since May, 1977. We were a young family of four then, and through the years, he has helped us through almost everything from the very simple sniffles through the severe illness and eventual death of my husband. We always felt him to be caring and genuinely interested in our well being. We never felt-as if we were just a number,… See more

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Sonstein
Dr. Sonstein Knows his patients to the extent that to my ‘difficult’ wife he is practically the messiah. He is also my Doctor and the best I’ve ever had from the Captain Doc in Korea, where I flew 55 combat Missions, to several surgical docs and thru Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma chemo and the various tics that has taken me to 86 trash of age.
When I first met Dr. Sonstein I had just had to say goodbye to my primary doctor. I had searched all over Austin and met with several doctors before deciding on Dr. Sonstein. He was kind and warm and he actually spent time with me.
This was definitely something I wasn't used to but I had much desired especially with my health issues. He picked right up with a plan of action and hasn… See more
When I fell in my home at the age of 93 I broke my pelvis. After my hospital stay I was in rehab for three weeks. During that time Dr. Sonstein visited me every day on his lunch hour and when I came home he telephoned frequently to check in on my condition. Dr. Sonstein has provided excellent care for over 30 years to me and my late husband. He is one in a million.
My husband and I went to Dr. Allen Sonstein long before he became an MDVIP doctor. He had already been a lifesaver for me as I had open heart surgery and suffered from a collapsed lung. When he visited me on his daily route, he got things moving really fast and I had an emergency procedure promptly. When he said he was becoming an MDVIP doctor, we joined simply because we could not even… See more
I had searched for the right primary care doctor for several decades. Each doctor I tried was okay. But I noticed that in 30 years no doctor had actually touched me. No checking ears, ankles, anything. Also I was distressed that routine blood work and blood pressure checks passed for an annual physical. I was at the age that so many of my concerns were dismissed with "well at your… See more
Dr. Sonstein was my mother's doctor for many years and he took very good care of her. After my husband passed away, I moved up here with my mom. Then Dr. Sonstein became my doctor too.....that was 12 years ago. He is the best doctor I have ever had!! He always has time to go over THOROUGHLY any test results or problems or questions I might have. He always smiles & is just the… See more
6 years ago I looked for a doctor for my mother, who was moving to Austin to live with my husband and me. From the moment, we met Dr. Sonstein we knew that he was the right doctor. He also became my doctor. He listens carefully. He doesn't dismiss my worries about small things. He really does coordinate my medical care with specialists. I especially appreciate his availability by cell… See more
I have been a patient of Dr Sonsteins for 39 years. He is the kindest and most caring person I know. He’s not only my Dr but my best friend.
I am 93 years old and still live alone and in fairly good health. I know it’s because of my wonderful Dr.
We shifted to Dr. Sonstein when my husband was in his first year of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, an Atypical Parkinsonism, a neurodegenerative disease for which there is no cure. Having a doctor like Dr. Sonstein to be there for us during the remaining four years of this difficult journey made a huge difference in our lives. He was always there to listen, to provide counsel for both of us… See more
